POWERLINE TIP
Do you have good balance? Great balance originates in your stance and is the building block of a great swing. With good balance you'll pack more punch in your swing and increase your average.

DEVOTIONS
My children are my life. I desire that they know the Lord and His peace.

"All your sons will be taught by the Lord, and great will be your children's peace." Isaiah 54:13

WHAT BETTER BLESSING FOR MY CHILDREN THAN TO BE TAUGHT BY THE LORD AND KNOW HIS PEACE!

TESTIMONIALS
"The experiences I have had in the past few years with Doyle Baseball has honestly been one of my best ever. I have learned just as much about my spiritual life as I have about baseball. The Academy, in particular, has brought my game to another level."
Andrew Moss
Student of Doyle BB Academy

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where are the Doyle Baseball Schools held?

A: July, December and February sessions are held at Tigertown, Home of the Detroit Tigers Spring Training Camp. March sessions are held at Lake Bonny Park. Both facilities are located in Lakeland, Florida, about halfway between Tampa and Orlando, approximately 45 miles southwest of Disney World.

Q: How are students supervised?

A: Students are carefully supervised both on and off the field. Coaches and counselors stay at the dorm with the players and are responsible for their supervision. Students are not allowed to leave the premises unless they are under the supervision of a Doyle staff member.

Q: When is Check-in and Check-out for each session?

A: Check-in is scheduled the day before the first day of the session between 1-5 PM in the dorm lobby. For Commuters, you may come that day or just check-in on the next morning between 8:00 - 8:30 AM.

Q: Is airport transportation available for Academy students?

A: Airport pickup and drop-off from Orlando International Airport only. Arrival and departure information should be provided to the Doyle office at least one week prior to arrival. Doyle staff will meet the students at the baggage claim of the arriving airline unless student is traveling as an "unaccompanied minor." Students disembark the plane and immediately board the monorail back to the main terminal where they are directed to baggage claim. Everything is clearly marked. Make sure we have your student's cell phone number for the Doyle personnel at the airport.

Directions will be provided to students arriving by car.

Q: What precautions are taken to ensure students can properly perform during the warm weather during the Academy?

A: Water intake is increased to offset the warm temperatures of each season, and students are carefully monitored by our full-time athletic trainer to ensure that they are able to properly perform and recognize their limitations.

Q: How do you deal with injuries?

A: Doyle Baseball employs a full-time athletic trainer during all activities. Students are required to report all injuries to the trainer prior to, and following, all on-field and training activities so proper treatment can be administered.

Q: Who is on the Doyle staff?

A: In addition to Denny and Blake Doyle, Academy staff members are carefully chosen to ensure that participants receive the highest quality training and instruction. Team coaches are selected from a pool of top Doyle instructors from across the country.

Q: Do students need spending money?

A: Although all activities, room and board are included in the Academy tuition, most students will want to bring a small amount of spending money to purchase soft drinks, pizza, etc. Students deposit money into a student bank account from which they are able to make withdrawals as needed.

Q: Is playing equipment provided?

A: Students should bring their own glove, spikes and bat (bats will be available for those who cannot bring their own). Baseballs and helmets will be provided. It is recommended that catchers bring their own equipment if possible; for those who cannot bring their own, catcher's gear will be provided.

Q: What is the daily dress for the field?

A: You will receive a list of recommended clothing to bring. Remember to "LOOK" like a ball player. Baseball pants, tee shirt, shorts, baseball shoes and tennis shoes are among the items needed.

Q: What about laundry facilities?

A: There are no public laundry facilities available to the players. Send enough clothes to last for the week. The 3 week program ONLY will have "clubhouse personnel" to launder their uniforms and their personal laundry.

Q: When do we need to register?

A: As early as possible. Students will not be assured of a spot until the application and full payment have been received.
